Paradise Now – (subtitles) A pair of young Palestinian men, Said and Khalid, are selected to become suicide bombers, but on their way into Tel Aviv their mission is compromised. In fleeing back across the border, they get separated. Khalid returns to his handlers and then goes in search of his friend. Along the way he re-encounters a young woman whose father had been a martyred hero, but now she is a member of a human-rights group. She argues against the eye-for-an-eye attacks against Israelis. They find Said, with the explosives still strapped to his body, lying on his mother’s grave. He escapes from them and recrosses the border into Israel.
