(2007, subtitles) In the former Yugoslavia, a promising young soccer player, Goran (Mark Simich), wearing a cross on a necklace, becomes a soldier in a civil war, assigned with others the duty of executing civilians who've been rounded up and brought to them in the back of a truck. In the trench he recognizes among the corpses the body of a woman he once knew.

When the next group of prisoners is lined up, a fellow soldier drops his rifle, refusing to shoot; the officer in charge kills the disobedient recruit with a pistol shot to the head. Another group of victims lines up with Goran prepared to fire his weapon only to see his soccer coach, Asim (Jerry Hoffman), facing him.

Only 14 minutes in length, this intense, concentrated drama, as powerful and penetrating as a bullet to the head, was directed by Chris Bessourian, who co-wrote the script with Tianna Langham based on transcripts of testimony before the International Criminal Tribunal, and filmed in California.
