Serenity – (2005) A space-adventure story with lots of violence in which the crew of a rogue space vehicle, Serenity, takes aboard a 17-year-old psychic, who possesses very lethal abilities, and her medical-doctor brother, who have escaped from a tightly guarded facility of the Alliance. Together they battle the formidable resources of the Alliance and eventually prove that an experiment to change people’s behavior to placidity can be disastrous. David Krumholtz (star of CBS’s NUMB3RS) has the role of Mr Universe. Except for fans of Joss Whedon (creator of TV’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel), probably not worth your time. I didn’t need to watch this.
