City of God – violent, very realistic look (based on actual story of a boy, Busca-Pe or Rocket, who survived to become a newspaper photographer) at hoodlums and drug-gangs in Ciudad de Deus (City of God) slum of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; many of the children in the movie were actual street urchins; subtitles.
