Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan – Unbelievably crass, gross, and hilarious and intentionally offensive, in-your-face provocative. Kazakhstan journalist Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen, a Jewish comedian) and his producer Azamat trek across America from New York City to Washington, D.C., to Los Angeles, California, in an ice-cream truck to learn the ways and mores of Americans and to find Pamela Anderson.
On their journey Borat meets a congressman (Borat offers Bob Barr cheese made from his wife’s breast milk), an etiquette consultant (at a dinner party Borat excuses himself to use the bathroom and returns with a bag of his defecation), owners of a southern antiques shop (Borat destroys over $400 worth of merchandise), a gun dealer (Borat asks what type of weapon would be best for killing Jews and gets a reply of either a nine millimeter or a forty-five caliber), among others who scowl at the uncouth utterances or enthusiastically endorse anti-Semitic, homophobic, antifeminist remarks.
Unable to purchase a gun, the two men acquire a bear for protection. Borat attends a rodeo where he tells the cheering crowd that his country hopes the Americans will completely destroy Iraq and then sings the national anthem of Kazakhstan to angry boos. In a hotel Borat and Azamat, who is very fat, get into a fight over a Baywatch magazine; both men tussle in a naked brawl and leave their room, enter an elevator with astounded guests, and disrupt a business conference. Azamat abandons Borat who gets a ride with a party of fraternity boys who convince Borat that Pamela Anderson is not a virgin. However, Borat enters an evangelical church where he learns about forgiveness and Mr Jesus.
Eventually Borat arrives in California, once again finds Azamat dressed as Oliver Hardy (or an obese Charlie Chaplin), and meets Pamela Andreson at a book signing where he attempts to kidnap her. He returns to Kazakhstan with a black prostitute for his new wife. Scenes of Kazakhstan actually filmed in Romania. Other features on the DVD are censored scenes and propaganda.
